Fitter & Machinist Apprenticeship – Certificate III Engineering
Applicants must have year 11 minimum completion. C2 VET units will be considered favourable.
This is an opportunity to become a Fitter Machinist with specialised training in the hydraulic industry. You will gain a qualification in Engineering (4 year trade)
Exposure to using Metal Lathes, milling machines, surface and cylindrical grinding, welding with Mig Tig, stick, oxy cutting and brazing.
The successful applicant will gain extensive training in the Hydraulic industry with skills in repairing pumps, valves, cylinders, gear boxes, trouble shooting, fault finding and site works.
Shortlisted candidates may be offered a work trial to see the work setting and equipment firsthand.
Qualities needed:
- Year 11 completion minimum
- Punctual, reliability and energetic
- Strong work ethic
- Sound knowledge of WHS processes
- Ability to follow instructions and work well within a team environment
- Positive attitude
- Genuine interest in the Engineering trade
Qualification / Skills
- Cert II Pre-Apprenticeship in Engineering would be an advantage
- Engineering work experience would be an advantage
