We currently have an exciting opportunity for a full-time 1^st or 2^nd year Apprentice to join a large manufacturing employer and start a rewarding career in the Engineering field. The position is suited to applicants interested in the Mechanical (Fitter) stream of Engineering.  This position is full time (Mon-Fri) with overtime available.

The role will entail:

• exposure to mechanical breakdowns, maintenance and repairs of plant and equipment in a safe and diligent manner.
• Safely using high risk equipment at time
• Fabrication of parts for industrial plant which may include machining and welding
• Disassembling and assembling components and reading technical drawings.
• Learn how to use SAP to document and report daily works
• Cleaning and housekeeping requirements
• Working with the team on routine maintenance programs, emergency repairs, upgrades and installation of new machines and equipment.

The successful candidate will be required to complete a Cert III Engineering Mechanical (Fitter-stream) at GOTAFE Shepparton.

Qualification/Skillsties needed:

• Certificate II in Engineering (pre-apprenticeship units) would be an advantage
• Previous work placement is desired.
• 2^nd year Apprentices applicants must provide trade school results with application.
